Crispy Ranch Fries Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 package (26 ounces) frozen French-fried potatoes
  • 1 envelope ranch dip mix, divided
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup ketchup

Directions

  • Arrange french fries in a single layer in a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons dip mix; toss lightly to coat. Bake at 450° for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Meanwhile, in a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup and remaining dip mix. Serve with fries. Yield: 6 servings.

Nutritional Facts 3/4 cup with about 2 tablespoons sauce equals 393 calories, 25 g fat (3 g saturated fat), 7 mg cholesterol, 1,014 mg sodium, 40 g carbohydrate, 3 g fiber, 3 g protein.

These were a nice change from plain oven baked fries... The recipe really should call for more than one packet of ranch seasoning though - by the time I measured out the 2 tbsp. to sprinkle over the fries, there wasn't really anything left to put in the dip!

My husband enjoyed the spin on the french fries but I thought the ranch was flavor was lost, especially in the sauce.

Great sauce! The baked fries were ok. I think it would be tastier, but less healthy, to fry them and sprinkle the ranch on top.
