Creole Green Beans Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon white all purpose flour
  • 1 cup tomato juice
  • 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • Pinch black pepper
  • 32 ounces canned green beans, drained

Directions

  • In medium saucepan heat oil over medium.
  • Add onions and celery, cook until onions are soft, stirring frequently.
  • Add flour, stir until absorbed.
  • Add tomato juice, salt, and pepper. Continue cooking until thickened and smooth, stirring frequently.
  • Drain beans and add to saucepan.
  • Reduce heat, simmer 2 minutes before serving.
