This rich, comforting soup recipe can easily be doubled or tripled. You can lower the fat content by using turkey bacon, vegetable broth and skim milk. It's delicious either way. —Suzanna VandeBrake, Peyton, Colorado

Great meal!! may be a little spicy for some. Cut back on cayenne peper or hot sauce for milder dish. But We like it as is. A real keeper. Ed

A lot of chopping and prep, but worth the effort, and definitely adds a lot of vegetables to your diet! We like things spicy, so I increased the hot sauce and cayenne to our tastes, and will probably put in some chopped jalapenos next time too. I also think cheese might be a good addition. Lots of possibilities for changing the recipe around.

Tasted good, but was boarder-line too spicy for our family.

WAY to much hot/spicy stuff for us. If you don't like that kind of heat, leave the cayenne & hot sauce out. Otherwise pretty tasty.

It was good and fairly easy. However, it was a little bland to my taste, so I added some season salt, garlic & onion powder and more pepper. I also added some left over baked herb chicken. It wasn't as thick as I thought it would be so the next time I'll probably add a tad more flour. Overall, a great way to get your family to eat more veggies.
