I WAS fortunate to grow up around fabulous cooks. My mother and grandmother taught me to experiment with recipes, and we tried a lot of variations on this one. I loved this recipe!! My grandma used to make us kids rice when we visited her!! & this taste EXACTLY like hers!! I added a little cinnamon and vanilla and yummmmm!! Thank u so much for sharing!

I made this tonite,since I had 3 c. of cooked rice, I tripled the recipe, added raisins,and now there is enough for 6 servings! very good, and it cooked while I prepared the rest of dinner!!eek
