My husband, Ronald, works long hours and frequently won't arrive home until past 7 p.m. But this casserole is still tasty after it's been warmed in the microwave. —Barb Marshall, Pickerington, Ohio

Frankly, I would triple the sauce ingredients and mix them separately in a bowel, then add. The recommendations to saute the ham with onion and seasonings before adding are good too. Otherwise, a good comfort food dish and a way of using leftover ham.

Whole Family thought this was very good. I did saute the hame and seasonings with some onion. Then added to the rest. Really good but I would double the sauce to make creamier.

So good! Whole family liked it. I used fresh broccoli-steamed. Fried 1/4 cup onion in some butter, added ham (instead of boiling) added a clove of garlic(instead of powder). Only had two cups of ham otherwise everything was the same and was great!

SO easy and SO good! I used green beans instead of broccoli and I actually looked forward to eating the leftovers!

Very good and very simple. I used less mozzarella cheese, less butter, and skim milk rather than half and half to make it a little healthier.

While it tasted good, it was not creamy but stringy from the mozz. cheese.

Substituted Turkey Ham for less fat and skim milk for half and half, skipped the salt and added just a pinch more garlic powder.

Use low fat canola margarine or no salt butter, 2 cups of ham, no salt, low fat cheese, and non dairy creamer would cut down on the fat and sodium content of this recipe to make it healthier.'LAG

Too much fat, I'd switch out the 1/2 and 1/2 for skim milk and maybe elbow macaroni for the egg noodles.

I don't understand the point of boiling the already cooked, cubed ham for 5-10 minutes. The only thing I can think of is to eliminate some of the ham's saltiness, but if one is concerned about sodium, why add salt as part of the seasonings?

This dish was very easy to prepare and my hubby even liked it well enough to tell me not to "personalize" it. It's a definate keeper for us.

My pickiest eater went back for thirds which never happens. Super easy to fix too.
