Creamy Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe

Creamy Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe Creamy Buffalo Chicken Dip Recipe photo by Taste of Home Rating 5

This slightly spicy dip cleverly captures the flavor of buffalo chicken wings. Using canned chicken adds to the convenience. —Allyson, DiLascio, Saltsburg, Pennsylvania

Great simple recipe. Its NOT too spicy if you follow the directions: Louisiana -style hot sauce, not regular hot sauce such as (red hot) Tabasco!...(hello!) ...BIG difference

I have a recipe with the same ingredients but different quantities for the hot sauce, ranch dressing & shredded cheese. Sue_242 I agree this version is way too spicy. I only use 1/2 cup of the hot sauce, dressing & shredded cheese and while we usually don't like things real spicy, it has enough "kick" for us. We also like to sprinkle a little extra shredded cheese on top.

Made this many times using about 1/4 the amount of hot sauce and mixing the cheese into the dip before baking. Yummy is everyone's opinion who try it!

I made this recipe for a Super Bowl party that our family hosted a couple years ago, and my brother LOVED it. It's become a Super Bowl tradition. My only issue with this recipe is that it can be a little salty, but perhaps if the chips weren't salted that issue would be rectified. It also is pretty spicy, but that's never been a complaint for my family. :) A great, fun, simple recipe!

Instead of hot sauce I tried it with Budweiser brand mild & tangy wing sauce. My family doesn't like things too hot so it was perfect. Those who like a good bite should stick with the original recipe.

I made this Super Bowl Sunday and it was a big hit! Very easy and quick to make. I took the suggestion of some of the reviewers and cut the hot sauce in half and it was hot enough for me!

Holy Hot Wings is right! I thought I died and went straight to hello! It was so hot even my husband who loves anything burning his throat thought it was too hot.

I am going to make it again but this time use much less hot sauce. I did use Frank's as some others recommended so maybe that was the problem. I love the ingredients for a dip so I'm hopeful the next try will be better.

Holy Hot Wings! I had used the the tips from the previous users and only used 3/4 C. hot sauce. We like heat...and it was perfect. This recipe is fantastic and came out perfectly for our game day crowd. Defiantly a new party favorite! Ty for sharing. :)

I reviewed this earlier but I agree with an earlier reviewer...this is very popular, but I've had to cut hot sauce about in half..its too hot for alot of my friends, only the diehards can eat it at full strength
