These melt-in-your-mouth cookies are one of my mom's specialties. Made with cream cheese and butter, they're very rich...and the pecans add wonderful flavor. They're great with hot cup of coffee or a tall glass of milk. Jeanne Voss Anaheim Hills, California

Kafeutz.sorry but these were just bad (in my opinion). That's ok! Not every recipe is for every person Back to the drawing board, right?

I understand that as I am Hungarian and we have several cookies that are not "sweet" but these were just flavorless. When I make my grandmother's recipe for similar cookies you don't really need the powdered sugar as they are just sweet enough...sorry but these were just bad (in my opinion).

KafeutzSomeone at Taste of Home should actually bake a recipe before they put it online or in a Best Loved Cookie recipe magazine..
I assure you that every single recipe is made several times, tasted and reviewed by the staff in the Test Kitchen. These aren't meant to be a sweet cookie, the confectionary sugar coating is meant to give them just the right touch of sweetness.

This cookie was AWFUL!!!!! I don't know how anyone rated this so highly..no flavor..no sweetness..I am sure this recipe is incorrect. After I made these and threw them all away I looked at my grandma's recipe for Hungarian cookies that was very similar to this..her recipe called for 5 Tbsp of sugar not one!! Someone at Taste of Home should actually bake a recipe before they put it online or in a Best Loved Cookie recipe magazine..

I really liked this cookie. The cream cheese gives it a little tang that you dont expect in a cookie. The only change I would make is less pecans. Next time I make them I will reduce to 3/4 cup, I think it will make the cookie a little more stable.

My son really liked these, but I thought they would have had a better flavor with all butter and no cream cheese.
