When I found this in TOH many years ago, I made them to take with me to a Thanksgiving dinner. They were a big hit. I have made them off and on since then.

Are these a crisp or cakelike cookies. DH prefers the Crisp ones or maybe crisp on outside and chewy inside. thanks

These are excellent. This is a soft, chewy cookie with a wonderful blend of sweet and tangy flavors. One of my favorite TOH cookie recipes.
