Can someone please tell me what I did wrong? The batter was so sticky and loose I couldn't do anything with it, and had to throw the whole batch away. Was I not supposed to add the buttermilk all at one time? Please help!

Once I got the hang of handling the dough, these were pretty easy to make and turned out DELICIOUS. They were perfect for Christmas morning and my husband's new favorite.

I have made this recipe many times. I was told by a very good cook that they were the best ever. I had misplaced my recipe and am thrilled to find it online.
