I didn't think that this had a lot of flavor. I added 1/3 cup of chopped onions and 4 cloves of garlic, and 1 tsp of pepper, and still, it had the salty bland casserole taste. The predominant flavor was the tater tots. It is better than the standard green bean tater tot casserole though.

I made this for a church potluck breakfast. I used bulk Italian Sausage instead of hamburger. It was very good. Everyone loved it. It was really good reheated the next day. Will try it with hamburger too for a regular potluck meal. Very easy to make.

Liked the merging of the flavors. Used the mini-tator tots; liked them because they didn't dominate the dish like the regular sized ones can.

My family really enjoyed this. I added a few spices. 1/2 tsp cumin, 1 tsp dried mustard powder and 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes. I will definitely make this again.
