- I have a new recipe that I am going to try and it calls for 2 of beef stew meat It cooks in a crockpot for 9 to 11 hours on low can I just use a little bit cheaper cut of steak The stew meat happens... from stew meat then any other meat and is there a cheaper cut I can use instead Thanks for the help
