This pork roast is so moist and tender, it melts in your mouth. My son puts it at the top of his list of favorite foods. We like it with mashed potatoes. —Corina Flansberg, Carson City, Nevada

Ingredients

  • 1 boneless pork loin roast (3 pounds)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil
  • 2 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • Hot mashed potatoes, optional

Combine cornstarch and water until smooth; gradually stir into the pan. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. I doctored the recipe, beef broth, garlic powder, pepper, and lots of everything. Also, I cut up the pork before the required time and put it back in the pot. It tastes great!

This was super moist and flavorful. The whole family loved it, including the kids. I didn't have any onion powder, so I used garlic powder instead. The gravy was also delicious!

This was super yummy! Both my husband and I loved it and even my 4 and 7 year olds both gobbled it up...definitely a keeper!

I followed the recipe and was very disappointed with it. It was very bland - both the pork and the gravy. Maybe needs some garlic - but as both my husband and I were not impressed, I will not be making this again.

Follow this as stated and you will not be disappointed! This recipe is exceptional without being difficult. The pork was moist and delicious! Even hubby raved about it and that's saying something! Oh yeah, did I mention the gravy yet? It is the perfect compliment to the pork... we LOVED this!

Good. Gravy got a little too thick, but I will just add a little less cornstarch next time.

It was very easy to prepare and turned out great. It was even a hit with my 3 and 4 year old. The meat was very tender and the gravy was great with mashed potatoes and corn.

My family thinks this can't be beat! Everytime I make it they comment on how good it is. I do make more gravy, but other than make exactly as the recipe states. Couldn't be easier.

This is one of the best slow cooker recipes I've ever made! My husband is a very picky eater and he really liked it. I made a 1.66 lb pork tenderloin so I cut the recipe in half and it was delicious. Definitely a keeper!

A great slow-cooker meal. I did add more cornstarch than was called for since we like a more gravy-like consistency.
