This dish is a standby. My daughter likes to add leftover ham to it. Save room in the oven by making this savory side in your slow cooker. —Joyce Johnson, Uniontown, Ohio

I add some diced ham and put all in the crockpot and it is ready when we get home from church. Hubby says it doesn't look appealing, but sure taste good.

I made this for a church dinner and there were no leftovers. Everyone loved it. I am going to make it again for our Thanksgiving dinner and double the recipe.

Suggestion: Make it 1 and 1/4 c.milk to make it a sauce consistancy. Was very bland without any spices. Salt, pepper, and some cajun spice to give it some flavor to taste. I added seasoned chicken fajita strips.

The condensed soup with only 1/4 c. of milk is not pourable at all.
