I make this every year using chocolate bark which you can find in any grocery store n the baking aisle and melting it in my crock-pot. It saves a lot of time.

I saw her make these this morning on Food Network, can't wait for payday to buy the stuff and make them. Yum.

My girls and I made these together for one of their birthday celebrations . We had so much fun. This recipe is real kid friendly. You will have a blast making these with your children. They taste ever so good. Yummy !!!

I just watched Paula Dean make these same cookies.  Although I think that putting the bowl of dough in the fridge first is a much better idea, Paula just dipped her hands in flour before she rolled each one.  Makes them easier to handle.  I can't wait to try these.

Cookie Dough Truffles.

Cannot tell you how many people requested this recipe. Took them many places, and if they ate one, they wanted the recipe.

I did not coat the entire cookie, just spooned some coating on each one. Also, I couldn't form the last batch I made, so just covered the bowl of dough and stuck it in the fridge. The next day, it was easier to form the balls and they could be coated immediately - my way to do it from now on.

These are wonderful! A little bit of effort, but so good to eat they are worth it. A tin of candy makes a wonderful gift, we usually make several batches at Christmas time.

I added a step that makes rolling the dough a little easier. After the dough is mixed, I drop teaspoonfuls of dough onto the wax paper. Then I put this into the fridge for about 20 minutes, then roll the balls before putting them into the freezer for an hour.

These are absolutely wonderful! They are easy to make but do refrigerate them before forming the balls. They are very sticky-I didn't and I had trouble forming the balls. Freeze them at this point as they still are too soft to dip in the chocolate. They start to loose their shape when dipped in the warm chocolate. I used chocolate chips because that's all I had and that worked fine. I also added a tablespoon of solid shortening to make it flow a little easier. A keeper for sure.
