Tiny Cherry Tarts

One tasty red bite!20 ServingsPrep: 30 min. Cook: 15 min.
Ingredients
- 4 oz. cream cheese
- softened
1/2 cup frozen whipped topping
- thawed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 can cherry pie filling (you won't use it all)
1 refrigerated pastry
Directions
- In a small bowl mix the first four ingredients with a hand mixer. Set
- aside in the refrigerator.
- Unroll pastry on a lightly floured surface and roll it a little
- thinner. Use a star cookie cutter to cut as many stars as you can
- get from the pastry. Gently press pastry stars into mini muffin
- pans. Bake at 350 about 15 minutes until light brown. Cool on racks.

- Just before serving, put a teaspoon of cream cheese filling into each
- star. Top with one cherry from the pie filling. Yield: serves 20
