Sausage Dressing
Our Thanksgiving turkey takes a backseat to this sausage dressing!12 ServingsPrep: 40 min. Cook: 45 min.
Ingredients
- 2 boxes cubed herb stuffing
2 rolls (16 oz each) Jimmy Dean sausage
- cooked
2 c celery
- chopped
2 c onion
- chopped
1 c melted butter
3 cans (14 1/2 oz each) chicken broth
- separated
1/2 - 1 c apple juice
Directions
- Mix together stuffing, cooked sausage, celery, onion and butter. Then
- add 2 cans of broth and apple juice; lightly mix with dressing.
- Spray casserole dish with cooking spray and pat mixture into pan.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes. Remove from refrigerator
- and add remaining can of broth (or 1 1/2 c turkey broth from cooking
- turkey). Bake covered at 350-degrees F for 30 minutes. Uncover and
- bake 15 minutes longer. Yield: serves 12
