Mom's Fruitcake Lizzies (T&T)

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/4 c margarine
  • 1/2 c brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 t baking soda
  • 1 1/2 t ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 t ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 t ground cloves
  • 1 lb raisins
  • 1 lb candied pineapple
  • 1 lb candied cherries (red & green)
  • 1 lb pecan pieces
  • 1/2 c bourbon

DIRECTIONS

Soak raisins in bourbon for 1 hour. Dice candied fruit and set aside.
   
   Cream margarine and sugar. Sift flour & spices. Add to creamed mixture. Mix. Add eggs. Mix. Add soaked raisins & diced fruit; mixing gently by hand (do not use mixer at this point).
   
   Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet.
   
   Bake at 325ºF for 15 mins.
   
   Yield: 120 cookies Yield: serves 0

This came to me from my Mom who got it from her Mom...family favorite.
