- 1/2 cup shortening

1 cup finely shredded cheese

2 1/2 cups self-rising flour

Directions
- Cut shortening into flour with pastry blender; add cheese and
- gradually stir in milk. Knead lightly. Turn out onto floured board;
- roll to 1/2" thickness. Cut into small biscuits. Place on greased
- baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 425 degrees. Yield: serves
