Canada War Cake

This recipe is very special to me. It came from my grandma .
(Which I never met.) During World War 1 my grandma came over from Scotland to Canada, & this recipe was very popular in "Canada". Because it was so hard to get eggs ,milk &butter during the war. It has a wonderful smell. It's something my Mom made during Christmas time. Now I also make it !
