Almond Poppy Seed Bread

I was looking for a quick bread with a twist when a friend gave this to me a few years ago. I love it! I eat it plain, but a glaze of milk, powdered sugar and almond extract could be added over top.0 ServingsPrep: 0 min. Cook: 0 min.
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
2 1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup + 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
2 Tablespoons poppy seeds
3 teaspooons almond extract
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl with a wooden spoon
- combine all ingredients and mix for 2 minutes. Grease and flour 2
- loaf pans. Pour half of mixture into each pan. Bake at 350 degrees
- for 1 hour. Yield: serves 0
Wine: Full-Bodied White Wine: Enjoy this recipe with a full-bodied white wine such as Chardonnay or Viognier.
