No one will guess these sweet treats with the candy bar center start with store-bought dough. Roll them in colored sugar…or just dip the tops for even faster assembly. Instead of using miniature candy bars, slice regular size Snickers candy bars into 1-inch pieces for the centers. —Taste of Home Test Kitchen

Mine did not make as many as the recipe said it would, but they did come out okay. Some leaked, but husband said it was just the caramel from the candy and it was tasty! A little time consuming, but worth it. Son put his in the microwave on the second day for about 10 second and boy, that them even better!

After reading some of the reviews, I was afraid I might be disappointed with the results on this cookie. Instead, I was quite happy. The cookie, though they didn't look round like the pictures, came out tasting quite good. I liked them even better the next day!

Good concept, but hard to get to work. Mine were flat. Candy oozed out. Were hard after a day or two.

These are great cookies and were a hit at the party I took them to. Thw picture is prior to baking so don't expect them to remain in a ball as they aren't supposed to. After reading the many reviews here of people having trouble I almost didn't make them but I'm glad I did. I used pillsbury box sugar cookie mix and added the extra flour noted in the recipe. The box says it makes 3 dozen cookies and that is pretty much what I got out of the recipe. To help prevent oozing I froze the candy and refrigerated the dough for 15 to 30 minutes. The cookies came out wonderful. My 4 year old loved rolling in the colored sugar which I made myself at home with foodcoloring to save some money. Definitely will make again to take to cookie exchanges or for an office party!

These turned out perfectly for me. I DID have to use a whole tube of cookie dough and doubled the flour. I made sure the cookie dough was a bit thicker when I wrapped them around the snickers bar to avoid them falling apart like a lot of the reviews said happened.

The first time I made them they flattened out but still tasted great. The second time I dropped them into a mini muffin tin before baking and the appearance was much better and everyone enjoyed them more. I will always use this method in the future. Just make sure you don't try to remove them from the pan until completely cool.

Mine, too, fell flat. I froze the candy. I added more flour. To no avail. However.. I was able to salvage them .. by cooling them on the parchment, not on a rack. As they cooled, the candy also firmed up, so it didn't leak! Very tasty even if not so pretty as the recipe's picture. Sure would love to know how to keep them round! Maybe it's the brand of cookie dough? I tried Pillsbury's .. both regular and the peppermint.. same results.
