My husband and I have lived on our ranch/wheat farm for over 40 years. I've served this dessert for family, hired help and special guests many times. I've used other fruits that are in season, but we like peaches best.

The best in the west! I found that you can decrease the sugar and it is still just as good.

I am from Texas so I know good peach cobbler and this is the best recipe I have found so far. Excellent recipe, only thing I added was cinnamon in the filling.

I guess not everyone knows that you can alter the amount of sugar you add.Sugar is not like baking powder that the 'formula' will not work without it..You dont have to add any sugar if you dont want to!
