Colorado Peach Cobbler Recipe

Colorado Peach Cobbler Recipe Colorado Peach Cobbler Recipe photo by Taste of Home Rating 5

My husband and I have lived on our ranch/wheat farm for over 40 years. I've served this dessert for family, hired help and special guests many times. I've used other fruits that are in season, but we like peaches best.

This was wonderful, just what I was looking for! The crust was think and crisp and not doughy. I just added a shake of cinnamon to the peach mixture and also to the crust mixture. Licked the bowl!

Used splenda instead of sugar & based on the other reviews, cut the sugar in half. Everybody loved it. Will definately make it again.

Wow... I was craving a peach cobbler and this recipe was absolutely perfect. I used canned peaches and you could hardly tell the difference. Also the crust really had lots of flavour and was nice and crispy. I reduced the sugar because of previous reviews and I think if you do that, you could reduce the salt slightly too. Yum!

Fabulous. I have eaten a lot of Peach Cobblers in my day and have found that the toppings are usually bland...This one is full of flavor and a sweet crunch that makes it delicious. This is now my go-to cobbler recipe.

The whole family enjoyed it. The only thing I added was cinnamon in the filling. Will be making this again.

Just wanted to add I found the topping a little too sweet for my taste, but no one else did. Because our peaches were so sweet, I could have cut down to 3/4 c. for the peach mixture. Either way, this is a great recipe. Adjust it to your taste.

This was a big hit with my family. Made it in an 9 x 9 aluminum disposable pan set on a jelly roll pan. The only change I made was to bake the peach mixture for about 15 minutes (until it was hot & bubbly) and then added the topping and baked another 20 minutes. This prevents the topping from getting soggy and I do this for all cobblers. BTW, serving with vanilla bean ice cream is not an option. :) Thanks for a great recipe.

I used about 3 cups of peaches and 1 cup of blueberries.

Since several people mentioned it was too sweet I used 2/3 c sugar with the peaches and 3/4 c sugar in the topping. I might try even a little less sugar next time.

Other than it being a little too sweet for my taste I enjoyed it and really liked the topping.

This is my favorite cobbler recipe. Everyone who eats it, asks for the recipe. And, it works great as a low-sugar recipe too by substituting the sugar with Splenda Sugar Blend. I make it all through the year with fresh and frozen Georgia peaches.

The best in the west! I found that you can decrease the sugar and it is still just as good.

I am from Texas so I know good peach cobbler and this is the best recipe I have found so far. Excellent recipe, only thing I added was cinnamon in the filling.

I guess not everyone knows that you can alter the amount of sugar you add.Sugar is not like baking powder that the 'formula' will not work without it..You dont have to add any sugar if you dont want to!
