THIS recipe caught my mother's eye back in 1925. It appeared in the local newspaper published in Jamaica, New York. Dad bought a paper every day so he could read while commuting on the El train. It quickly became my brothers' and my favorite dessert. -Louise Stuhr, Chatham, New Jersey

The first time I made this I used regular coffee...it didn't have a strong coffee taste. The second time I made it I used strong coffee...it was a lot better. I like to freeze it. Its like my own special icecream!

A little tasteless - added vanilla extract, and put on top of coffee brownies - yummy!

Delicious! I love coffee and it WAS a coffee lover's dessert! I dissolved coffee granules in hot water for my coffee, used 12 marshmallows and used 3/4cup heavy whipping cream. It made about 2 cups. Next time I will definitely make a double recipe to save some for later. I chilled it in the freezer for about 35min and it was perfect. Tasted like coffee ice cream with a mousse consistency. Next time I'm going to add a few chocolate chips to the top and an extra dolup of whipped cream. Yummy!
