Classy Carrots Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 package (16 ounces) frozen sliced carrots
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cubed
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans, toasted

Directions

  • Place carrots and water in a large microwave-safe bowl. Cover and microwave on high for 5 minutes. Stir in the onions, butter, oregano, garlic salt and pepper. Cover and cook 2-3 minutes longer or until carrots are crisp-tender. Sprinkle with pecans. Yield: 4 servings.

Editor's Note: This recipe was tested in a 1,100-watt microwave.

I didn't have green onions home so I just left them out. Very tasty!

Delicious flavor. Nice way to dress up a vegetable, alter the flavor a bit, and make it appear as something special with so little work.
