My family loves these big old-fashioned cookies. They’re crisp, yet still chewy in the center, and the cinnamon makes them a little different from typical oatmeal cookies.

This is similar to a recipe I used to have but lost but the flavor is amazing!I added an extra quarter cup of flour. A tip from my lost recipe that I would likevto share is to add 2 Tablespoons of milk and then chill the finished dough for at least 1 hour.

Excellent flavor and texture, this is one of my favorite cookies! However, as with some other cookie recipes from tasteofhome, I found I had to add up to 1/2 cup of flour so that they weren't spreading like crazy. Now whenever I make them I typically use 2 cups flour (often whole wheat pastry flour), and they turn out much more like the picture. All around a great basic to have one hand!

This could easily be an award winning Recipe. I make then all the time and they don't stay in the house for long! I will be entering them in a contest this fall. So good!

I love the taste of these cookies but they come out flat everytime and do not stay together when I remove them from the cookie sheet.

cookies looked nothing like the picture, flattened very little and on the second day they were rock hard. I was disappointed but will try them again.

These are delicious. Thanks so much for sharing your recipe! I didn't add any cinnamon but decided to add about a cup of coconut and they came out so yummy. to all of you with problems with the cookie breaking, try letting them cool 1-3 minutes and you should have no problems. This would be a great recipe to add ingredients to such as nuts, crushed cereal, or dried fruit. Good luck!

These are very good, but they came out very flat and broke apart when I removed them from the cookie sheets. Not sure how to change that.
