These are not "light" anything. They pack an awful lot of calories and carbs. Be careful!

These are nice and soft like a cookie but easier with less fuss. I would add a bit of salt and some walnuts. I may try them again with walnuts and chocolate chips rather than raisins. Peanut butter would be good too.

I have made this recipe twice. Once in dried cranberries and with raisins. This is a keeper. Keeps on shelve. Don't need to refrigerate. I am passing this on. LOVE IT

These were very tasty! I used real butter, whole wheat flour and since no one like raisins here I used some diced dried apple I had. At first my kids were like they are ok, but within 2 days the pan was empty. Once cooled they were very crumbly, and I cut them into far more than 12 squares but they were very very tasty!

I've made these twice in the past three weeks. The first, time as written. The second time, with half raisins, half chopped dates. These are great!

These were so chewy and delish! I made my second batch with dried cherries. They were even better.Did anyone have a problem with stiring once you added all oatmeal/flour etc mixture? I had a very hard time even with my Kitchen Aid.

I used a little less sugar a little over 1/8c. Divided my dough in half. Made original recipe in with 1/4c raisins and other with creamy peanut butter and nuts. Put in same dish and baked. Very good. Would make again. caw
