Chunky Beef Stew Recipe

You don't need to simmer homemade stew for hours when you use a more tender cut of beef, like sirloin steak. This hearty dish will fill you up after a day of sledding or skating.

This is probably the best recipe I've made. I browned the sirloin in a skillet separately from the vegetables so that I could cook the vegetables plenty long so they'd be cooked through, then I combined them all in the Dutch oven. Definitely use sirloin steak and simmer long as it will turn out very tender. I served over the delicious Onion-Roasted Potatoes recipe I found in Taste of Home too.
