I've been making this for over 40 years. However, I gave up making wreaths almost that many years ago. Just drop on waxed paper and somewhat make holly leaves with red hots dropped in the center. Much less messy that way.

I used red hot candis instead.

love this recipe as is, but love it more with peanut butter added to marshmellow mix before cornflakes. About 1/2 cup pb.

My mother used to make these when I was little. I make them with my boys as they are kid friendly to decorate. We love them.

Easy but double the recipe if you're going to make them. Too much work for 8 servings. I used cinnamon candies on the wreaths instead of M & M's and be sure to either butter your fingers when shaping or spray with Pam.

Very messy but always get a lot of compliments and I use red hots instead of M &M's for the holly berries.

Oh, these are a favorite with my girls and their friends. They are grown now, but still ask for them. To shape the wreath, I put 2 or 3 lg. spoonful globs on tin foil and with buttered fingers I poke the center and spread a little to look like a wreath. I only do 2-3 at a time because they set up fast. I always had one of the girls (with dry hands) put the red hots on as I was making the wreaths. When done, we'd cut around the tin foil, which acted like a doilie.

I have found that whenever I work with marshmallow treats having the tub of crisco or a stick of butter nearby always seems to help. I just keep my fingers greasy and the treats don't stick to me.

I make these every year. They seem to be amoung the favorite for everyone. I do find them easy,,,but very messy to make. Do you have an easy way to shape up the wreaths?
