Christmas Eve Mice Recipe

These turnes out so delicou and cute that I would not even want to eat them! They only took about what...20 minutes tops! Very easy for kids to make and simply! I microwaved the simisweet chocolate chips in the microwave for 1 minute with the shortening and it took a little stirring and was all set! Make sure to stir it up because the chips suill look whole and if they are microwaved too long, they burn. Plus, I don't have a double boiler either. If you don't have double stuffed oreos, using vanila or any favorite flavor frosting on a chocolate cookie and put the mouse on top! My family was amazed to see hese very cute creatures!

I made these mice at Christmas and took them to two different parties and they were a big hit. Not only are they cute but they taste good too!

A co-worker brought these to work and I immediately made them for my next event. They disappeared from the plate so fast, they were gone before I went through the line. They are SO easy to make and so cute. I didn't even put the red eyes or put them on an oreo, but I will definitely put them on an oreo next time because the chocolate stuck to my plate. This is adorable and loved by all!

These where absolutely wonderful. They got rave reviews at our Christmas Bazaar.

My cherries where a bit small for the "kisses' face so I used Chipits Mini-Kisses and cut the almonds in half (placing the cut behind the kisses).

Both the recipe and the made-up mice are much in demand.

Hi I make these mice, but I don't separate the oreo's cause it was so timeconsuming, so I purchase white coated oreos and put the mice on it and decorate the sides of the cookie

they are always such a big hit

I have been making these cute little mice for about 10 years now. I get requests every year at Christmastime. I make them without the cookie and I also "spike" the cherries. I usually soak them in Oct. so they get good and spiked.

I have been making these for 3 years now and they have become a much asked for "tradition" at the annual family Christmas party. Little red hearts instead of the holly and berry make them "Valentine Mice" and great treats for school.

My sister, sister-in-law and I made approximately 75 of these cute mice for a senior citizens Christmas party. One was placed at each place setting.......they were a huge hit! A couple of nights later I went out for dinner in a small local restaurant and I overheard a conversation between 2 couples who had been in attendance at the party......they were talking about how cute and delicious the ittle mice were. They had no idea I had been involved in making them, and were very complimentary about the little mice! They were such fun to make and present!

Just thought it would be a good time to mention this about these mice treats. I once included a couple in a treat box I gave to the people at our pet's boarding kennel, they thought the mice were so wonderful that they saved one on the check-in counter for all to admire.
