After church services on Christmas morning, our family enjoys this easy, make-head casserole. I’d also recommend it for a special breakfast or brunch any time of the year.

This has become a Christmas breakfast tradition. I also make it for Easter breakfast at Church.

I love a make-ahead casserole for Christmas morning, and this one was my favorite so far. It has a wonderful fluffy texture and I like how the eggs, bread, and cheese all mix together at the bottom. I added bell peppers on top and I think next time I will even add some chopped onions and sliced mushrooms to really make it interesting. It was just a tad salty for my taste, so I think next time I will leave out the added salt and let the bacon be enough. I also would add a little more pepper, but I like a lot of pepper on everything. Definitely a keeper!

Delicious. This is going in my Tried and True file. My husband dropped the carton of eggs as he was coming in from the grocery store. This sounded good and was excellent and very easy. Made with whole wheat bread using end pieces that I save and freeze, 50% reduced fat cheese, nonfat milk and 6 tablespoons Hormel 50% reduced fat precooked real bacon crumbles. These are things that I always have in my refrigerator and freezer. My son said this one's a keeper.

Made for a ladies brunch and it was a hit. Many asked for the recipe. Since I needed to feed more than 8, I increased all ingredients by 50% and baked in a 9x13 dish. I can see how you could add many things as others have, but it is great just as is.

This IS an awesome basic recipe, as stated in another review. I have made it many different ways, but I think my family prefers it this way more than any. Instead of bacon, I use sausage, and I also added 1 can of mild green chiles to the egg mixture. My family was in LOVE!!! I have made this several times, and I get the same applause every time, I even have made it for an evening meal. My whole family is huge breakfast eater. So, thanks so much for adding this recipe!

The possibilities are limitles with this yummy casserole! You can add just about anything you would like. I have added sauted mushrooms and onion, as well as ham or sausage. It is a very good basic breakfast casserole.
