I made these cookies this wewek for my grandchildren and they were extremely well received. In fact, I need to make a new batch before the weekend so I can take them to a family reunion ( as instructed by my granddaughter who helped make them) Eleanor D. Chatham, ON Canada

The only ones I know of are made by Nabisco, they're actually called Famous Chocolate Wafers. They're difficult to find, not all grocery stores carry them, and they are kind of expensive. Well worth it though for most recipes. We've made the Ice Box cake recipe on the box lots of times, absolutely delicious. If you search on Amazon.com for Nabisco Famous Chocolate Wafers you can see a good picture of what the package looks like.

Really like the fact they are a frozen dessert and that adds to protion control. I think I would cut the recipe in half for our household.

But are the chocolate wafers sugar-free?

My grocery store doesn't keep them in the cookie isle (duh?) but I found them with the ice cream cones in the ice cream/frozen orange juice freezers.
