Chocolate Peanut Delight Recipe

Chocolate Peanut Delight Recipe Chocolate Peanut Delight Recipe photo by Taste of Home Rating 5

Peanut lovers will appreciate this yummy dessert I dreamed up. A brownie-like crust is packed with nuts, topped with a fluffy peanut butter layer and covered with whipped topping and more nuts. It was so well received that I made it for a local restaurant where I used to work. -Karen Kutruff, New Berlin, Pennsylvania

Made this for Easter this year and it was a big hit. I was told this is the new family favorite

By reading the other reviews, I substituted the cake mix with Dark Chocolate brownie mix and followed the brownie instructions. I also omittedt the peanuts. It was a creamy dessert. I fixed it for a phase 10 party and it was gone in minutes.

Makes a nice holiday dessert or potluck item.

Baking powder added to the cake mix would make it softer. Add the amount of baking powder that would be called for in a from scratch cake recipe.

My family couldn't get enough of this dessert. I have to make it again this week because they loved it so much. Better to make it with a brownie mix instead of the cake as suggested. The cake mix turned out a little hard. Also use brownie directions.

Do NOT use cake mix as directed (gets very hard), use a brownie mix and follow package directions. Add peanuts if desired.
