Easy and fun to make! My frosting did NOT thicken up like the recipe said it would so I added 1/4 cup of confectioner's sugar and dipped the cupcake into the frosting upside down. I topped them immediately with the cut up peanut butter cups....delicious. I used only a fraction of the frosting though. I'll 1/2 the frosting recipe next time. Rave reviews from my guests.

A coworker made these for our office on Valentines Day. Amazing!! Instead of waiting for the icing to completely cool, she simply dipped the top of each cupcake in the icing and topped with the chopped Reese cups. The icing settled with a ganache type smoothness and sheen. I didn't find them to be overly sweet, perfect balance!I will be making my own batch next weekend for my granddaughter birthday party. I think I will try both methods of topping the cupcakes, see which one I like best :)

I made these last night...They were amazing! I proudly have given some to my neighbors & relatives. I actually think the frosting is perfect because the rest of the cupcake is SO sweet. If you just taste the frosting on your finger, it doesn't seem great, but once it sets up & with everything else...It is perfect. It also made the perfect amount of frosting. My husband & I both thought they were better today, then last night after I made them.

I made an account on this site just to praise these cupcakes. I made them for a get-together with some friends, but even though there weren't very many of us, the cupcakes were GONE by the end of the night. They are one of the most decadent things I have ever tasted. I did end up adding sugar to the frosting, since it was a tad bitter for my tastes, so if (no, WHEN) I make these again, I'll use milk chocolate instead of semi-sweet. Otherwise, a perfectly delicious recipe!

These were the most amazing smelling cupcakes ever! It is probably a good thing that I am allergic to chocolate, dairy, wheat and peanut butter or these would have definitely made me gain weight! I made them for gifts for my family, and they were all amazed. My Mom is the ultimate "chocoholic" and an amazing cook. She couldn't believe how good these cupcakes were! Even my boyfriend's four year old granddaughter said: "That is the BEST frosting I have ever tasted!" I love Taste of Home!

These are delicious, I use a similar recipe. I fill the muffin cups as you would normally, then just push the peanut butter cup in until it reaches half way, then completely cover it. Make sure you dont go all the way to the bottom of the cup.

I used milk chocolate instead of semi sweet for the frosting. I prefer sweet to bitter, but they were excellent! I took them to work and they were a huge hit.
