To complete the meal. Lorri whips up a pan of Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars. "These chewy cereal treats are the perfect no-fuss contribution to a potluck or bake sale," she adds. "I've discovered a few minutes in the refrigerator helps the bar's frosting set faster. Of course, the trick is getting them in there before they disappear!"

I never made this recipe but I happened to come across it and found out that it is pretty much the same recipe my Mom makes all the time- especially when I was a kid. We loved them and now that I have made them some they are really easy! You can also subsitute half of the corn syrup for honey. In the recipe we use, sometimes you need 8 cups of cereal and for the topping, we use 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup butterscotch chips. SO good!

Finally! an outstanding recipe for Peanut Butter Bars. I didn't quite have a full cup of light corn syrup so I improvised and used honey. Couldn't tell the difference. I also used aluminum foil to line my 9 X 13 pan before adding the Rice Krispie Mixture.

I made these bars to take to work. They were gone in no time. Everyone wanted the recipe. Making another batch today to take to a family get together. Were very easy to put together. A real keeper.

I make these all time and my family loves them! I use the microwave to heat up the corn syrup & sugar, mix them. I use an 18 oz jar (1.5 cup) of peanut butter. soften in the microwave, mix all 3 ingredients together put back in the microwave for about a minute and then add the 6 cups of cereal. I then use a jelly roll pan and press the cereal mixture into it. I use the 11 oz bag of butterscotch chips and 6 oz bag of choc chips mixed together. These are great and easy to do!

My family/co-workers are not a big fan of butterscotch therefore these are a great substitution. They turn out perfect everytime. Can't get enough; always gone in a heartbeat!

These are wonderful! I'm sure they are not very "good" when it comes to health with all of the sugar and corn syrup, but they taste great! I've made them several times over and they are a hit with everyone!

These are great for chocolate peanut butter lovers. One thing I have always added is butterscotch chips to the chocolate chips. 6 oz. each. The combination makes a big difference.
