Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips, divided
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips

Directions

  • Combine the nuts and milk chocolate chips with the remaining semisweet chocolate chips and crumb mixture. Sprinkle over filling. Bake 15-20 minutes or until center is set. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars. Yield: 3 dozen.

Kagrandma - you're right, these bars aren't heart healthy - although they are delicious! The healthy icon was incorrectly placed on this recipe and we are working toward resolving the problem. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I'm allergist to nut, but it sounds wonderful.

the only thing I did different was add some peanut butter chips as my family loves that combination - do not plan on having any left overs! so moist and so delicious! Will be making many times/going to take it to a Valentine pot luck dinner.

These look wonderful, but heart healthy? Not a chance.

This is a delicious cookie and one my family just plain loves. It's a keeper, for sure, and one we'll be making many more times.

Oh yum!!! Our daughter made this and brought it over to share. By the end of the day only half of the pan was left, and there is only two of us. They were wonderful.

These cookies are wonderful. My dad says that they are better than a candy bar. I agree.

This is a delicious recipe. I made it for a friend's birthday and everyone raved about it. I plan to make it again.
