For these cute candies, maraschino cherries are dressed in a chocolate coating. Kids will have fun helping make the sweets, but they will have to wait a week or two for the filling to set before enjoying the fruits of their labors. -Janice Pehrson, Omaha, Nebraska

Perfect! It's hard, but make sure to wait that two weeks. The cherries are much more delicious with a creamy center.

I didn't read the entire recipe before I began making these and didn't realize they had to sit in the fridge for so long. I made them for my daughter's birthday and served them next day and they were a huge hit. I also used the left over chocolate mixture not the sugar dough to coat strawberries and they turned out wonderfully as well.

made these for Christmas gifts, people loved them. made a double batch. everyone said I missed my calling as a chocolatier. I also make awsome fudge that everyone wants for gifts. they were so pretty. to do the white part I rolled the balls and then flattened in my palm and then spun it slowly while pinching to thin. I didn't make them 2 inches, maybe a little over an inch and then put the cherry on it and molded it up the sides. the warmth of your hands make it easy to do. thanks! this is my brothers favorite candy and these are WAY better than anything in a box. have looked in candy store for years to no avail.

This candy was a huge hit! I did add 1/8 tsp. of almond extract to add just a touch of flavor. Had to make 2 batches because the first disappeared the minute I set it out! Can't believe how easy it was to put this favorite together! This will be a special for years to come.

I made these for Christmas and was very pleased with the taste. They were very sticky so I need to work on the recipe alittle before I make them again.

I made these last year. My husband bought the biggest jar of stemmed cherries Sam's had last week and told me to get busy! Seems they have never been far from his mind!
