Absolutely delicious! And easy to make. They come out nice and moist. Sometimes I would warm them up and put some vanilla ice cream on it. Yum!

I bought a Taste of Home's 200l Quick Cooking book at a garage sale and found this great recipe in it, which everyone loves.

I fed these to my group of 8-11 year old girls from church and these bars were gone in NO TIME!! Will definitely be making these again:) Instead of melting the shortening and choc. chips I just sprinkled some chips on top of the cake as soon as it was out of the oven and then stuck it back in for a couple minutes and then smeared them over the cake

I made this recipie for my neighborhood labor day party & every one loved them!!! They said that I would now have to bring them to every labor day party. I thought that they were a little bit under cooked but other than that they were fabulous :)

THESE ARE AWESOME!! I sent them to my brother in college and he loved them. He said they were better then chocolate chip cookies! They don't get hard and they freeze well.

Really easy! I have made these bars numerous times for my kids and faculty treats. These bars are so moist and chewy just like a great chocolate chip cookie but I only have to clean one pan.
