These bite-size bars are very rich, so small servings are satisfying. They're perfect for parties because they don't require a fork and plate to eat. —Helen Longmire, Austin, Texas

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
  • FILLING:
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened

this was so good! i didn't use orange peel and i used a mix of strawberry whipped cream cheese and normal cream cheese instead, and it turned out really good! and i used less sugar because of the strawberry cream cheese. my mom loved it and wants me to make it again later this week

The only problem with these is that the recipe didn't make a big enough pan of them! :) Delicious!
