Chinese Sesame Broccoli Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh broccoli
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
  • 1 small red bell pepper, sliced

Directions

  • Remove leaves and stem ends from broccoli.
  • Wash broccoli well and separate into spears.
  • Steam broccoli over boiling water 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Coat large skillet with cooking spray. Add soy sauce and heat over medium to simmer.
  • Add broccoli and cook until tender, turning frequently, roughly 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Transfer broccoli serving dish, sprinkle with sesame seeds and garnish with red pepper.
