Chilled Green Beans Italiano Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onion
  • 4 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  • Place beans in a large saucepan and cover with water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes or until crisp-tender. Rinse with cold water; drain and pat dry. Place in a bowl. Add the remaining ingredients; toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or until chilled. Yield: 8-10 servings.
