This deliciously moist chicken is a longtime favorite with family and friends of Darolyn Jones in Fishers, Indiana. "It’s so easy, comforting and rich." she says. "A friend shared the recipe years ago, and I adapted it by adding a few new ingredients. I like to serve it over mashed potatoes or rice."

Seems to be a strange combination of ingredients, but it turns out really tasty! Easy to make too.

The sauce never really thickened; the cream cheese didn't completely melt into the other sauce and was a bit lumpy. IF I make this again, I'll brown the chicken first to seal in the juices so the chicken won't be so dry, and I will take about 1/2 cup of the gravy and melt the cream cheese with it before adding to the crock pot. Was not a favorite for any of my family.

This dish is FABULOUS! My husband and I loved it. He asked me to put in our "dinner meal rotation".

I see why this is contest winning. When I make it I don't change one thing. It's super quick and easy!

My family loved this recipe. I did have to change it a little. The store did not have any mushroom gravy so I substituted chicken gravy. I also used chicken thighs instead of breast. I cooked on high for about 5 hours. The chicken feel off the bones. I added a little cornstarch to thicken. The only problem was that the cream cheese never seemed to melt all the way. I don't know that it added to the taste of the gravy that much so I'll probably just skip that next time.

This was really good! I used fat-free ingredients and it was tasty. The only problem I had with it was that there was SO much gravy left over that a lot of it went to waste. However, I would make this again!

I thought this was very good, and easy. I forgot to add the milk at the beginning, but the sauce still turned out very rich and delicious. I used reduced fat cream cheese, and although it took quite a bit more stirring to get it to completely melt into the sauce, it was very good. Every bit got eaten.

I liked this recipe. My husband is very picky eater. He loved the gravy but didn't care much for the chicken itself. Every single time I make a chicken dish in the crock pot though we don't really care for the chicken. It just isn't moist. But overall we liked it and I will make it again.

I really did not care for this recipe - I thought the green chilies were not a positive addition and did not mix well with the other

I oohed and aahed with every bite. My husband said he wished I'd get as excited about him as I do about my food :) Couldn't help it. This recipe is so easy and delicious! I served it over rice. Leftovers warm up great.

This was quick and very easy to prepare. I served it over the mashed potatoes also found on TOH site. http://www.tasteofhome.com/Recipes/Mashed-Potatoes

Used fire roasted green chilies, and it made it a little spicy. Was ok, added noodles, and made it a meal. Would not make it again, but enjoyed it the one time.

This tasted good, looked a little off to me. I probably won't make this again, as I have other chicken mushroom recipes I like better.

This sauce reminded me of beef stroganoff sauce.
