This recipe was a hit! There wasn't enough liquid when it was done so I will definitely double everything except the dumplings next time. The flavors blended together beautifully. The cayenne pepper gave the dish a nice kick, but the whole teaspoon may be too much for some people. Definitely a keeper recipe....can't wait to make it again!

The prep time should be listed as 45 minutes to an hour and you may need to add more broth. The dumplings were light and I added more chopped carrots for color. It isn't bland like most chicken and dumplings recipes and not as spicy as tortilla soup, so it makes a good recipe for feeding the whole family. If you have leftovers, microwaving the soup doesn't change the texture of the dumplings.

This is the most flavorful chicken and dumplings I have ever made...and I have tried A LOT! I loved the cayenne pepper in the biscuits. mmmm...mmmm...good!

Fantastic!! This is the first time I've made chicken & dumplings from scratch and they turned out perfectly with this recipe. My whole family loved them. I'm about to make them again just a week later.

I only had 4 cups of broth but used the same amount of everything else and it turned out very good, although I think I would add more veggies next time. I also accidentally left out the cream and it still was very good. My husband wanted me to make more the next day.

This is a great recipe!! My husband, daughter and I all loved it!!! Will definitely be making it again. The prep and cook times are wrong, but is worth it!!!

My husband and I and all of our guests loved this meal. I cooked my own chicken in the crock pot first and used the broth it made, instead of using a rotisserie chicken and store bough chicken broth. I've already made this twice and will definitely be making it again!

This should be stated as,"Italian Chicken&Dumplings".The flavours are Italian in spices,Flavourings.Leave the Bay leaves out.As well, the "Pepper flakes".Too spicy for the Little Ones.Garlic too, unless Family likes this Bulb.Cayenne&Chives are Sophisticated Palate Seasonings.May be Why Some want to make this recipe their own.Just as We will,by using "cheese cloth" to hold the herbs under broth for brief Time&remove.Too much Garlic,Folks.
