With seven of us in our family, including two teenage boys, these bars never last long! It's hard to believe how simple theses bars are to prepare.Deb DeChant, Milan, Ohio

I made this today for the 1st time and loved it. My company liked it so much she wanted the recipe. The only thing I did differently is , I did not melt the butter. It came out light and brownie like. I melted chocolate chips on top and spread them once softened. I'd make it again!

This recipe needs more peanut butter. I'd amp it up to 1 cup, and 1 cup of butter. Its a great recipe as far as quick and easy, but very mild and almost too much of a floury taste. I'm going to tweak this and try it again.

keverwann, I haven't tried this with bars, but with cookies, if you put in a piece of bread, the cookies don't get hard.

My family has enjoyed this recipe since it first came out, years ago. Sometimes I melt butterscotch chips w/semi sweet and spread on top and chill a bit~ OR~ cut in triangles and dip half in the same mixture or just chocolate alone. Though mainly we just enjoy this chewy treat as is.

I made this recipe for the first time yesterday and it was great! No more rolling up cookies in a ball & flattening them out. On a side note, I did add a 12 oz. bag of peanut butter chips to the batter last and it was a nice addition.

Came out OK, but not impressive , very mild flavor.

OK but how did they taste? I guess I have to try them myself.
