My husband and I put these in our lunch, but they're also a nice portable breakfast or snack. They're quick, store well and easy to keep on hand. —Sharon Rast, Show Low, Arizona

This is a yummy and easy dessert or snack. With the nutritious ingredients, I am happy to give these bars to my family any time. My teenager always begs for more!

I have not made these yet, but wondered if anyone has tried to make these without the corn syrup. We are trying to avoid the stuff and wondered how it would turn out without it. Any ideas?

This is good, however, wouldn't rice bran syrup be better to help reduce the glycemic index?

This is super easy and quick to prepare and it's ready right away. My kids and my daycare kids often request this for snack time.

Loved the convenience of fast prep. Very chewy indeed. Work fast when pouring mixture over dry ingredients. Just like rice krispie squares, and we all have made them before!

This is a great recipe. It's as easy as rice krispie treats. Next time I might add chopped nuts or drizzle with chocolate for a no-bake cookie flavor.

I made these bars and added a small package of slivered almonds and a dash of cinnamon. Next time I'm going to try dried cranberries! They are a perfect addition to a packed lunch!

My husband wanted a pick me up around 2-4pm before he got home to dinner. We made these bars this weekend and will last all week.

A super yummy snack! I was planning on making Rice Krispies treats with my kids but the magazine arrived in the mailbox just in time! =) I doubled the batch and made thicker bars. The hardest part was stirring it all together. YUMMY!
