This cookie recipea favorite of our four childrenhas been in my collection for years. Sometimes I'll substitute mint-flavored chips for the semisweet chocolate ones. Either way, the cookies disappear quickly.

These were yummy, my first tray came out really thin & falling apart. I added about a tbsp of flour to the remaining dough & the next tray of cookies came out fluffier. I also used half whole wheat flour & half regular since wheat flour makes slightly chewier cookies

Wow! If you love chocolate, you'll adore these cookies! I made my first batch too big and they were hard to handle without breaking but still scrumptious anyway.

No wonder there is no photo. These are about the ugliest cookies ever, dark to the point of looking burned and very thin, but are their looks ever deceiving! What fabulous chocolatey taste, chewy texture.

Soooo yummy! It was hard to bake them and not just eat all the batter! I've been looking for a good chocolate cookie recipe that's soft and chewy - this definitely fit the bill. I will be making this MANY more times!

Very good, like having a brownie with a crunch, yet chewy.
