Cheesy Potato Casserole

Nothing is better then a casserole so I always bring them to church suppers and potlucks. This is the one I bring when I am asked to bring a side. It is so cheesy and delicious.Mae Taylor, Indianapolis, Indiana10 ServingsPrep: 25 min. Bake: 50 min.
Ingredients
- 9 medium potatoes (about 3 pounds)
- 1 package (16 ounces) process cheese (Velveeta), cubed
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 cups mayonnaise
- 1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled, divided
Directions
- Cook potatoes in boiling salted water until tender. Drain and cool.
- Peel and cube potatoes; combine with cheese, onion, mayonnaise and
- half of the bacon in a large bowl. Spoon into a 13-in. x 9-in.
- baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining bacon. Bake, uncovered, at
- 350° for 50 minutes or until the top begins to brown. Yield: 10
- servings.
