Cheddar Cheese Crab Dip Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, cubed
  • 12 ounces Crab, Dungeness, flaked and cartilage removed
  • 2 tablespoons half & half
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • Pinch paprika or seafood seasoning, optional

Directions

  • In microwave safe bowl, whisk cornstarch and wine or broth until smooth. Add cream cheese. Cover.
  • Microwave on high 45 seconds. Stir. Microwave 45 to 75 seconds longer or until smooth and slightly thickened.
  • Add crab, cream, parsley and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Cover. Microwave on high for 45 seconds. Stir. Add cheddar cheese. Microwave for 45 to 60 seconds longer.
  • Stir until the cheese is melted.
  • Spinkle with paprika or seafood seasoning, if desired.
