My friends and neighbors expect me to bring this irresistible dip to every gathering. When I arrive, they ask, "You brought your bean dip, didn't you?" Championship Bean Dip Recipe

Prep: 10 min. Cook: 2 hours

Yield: 36 Servings

Ingredients

1 can (16 ounces) refried beans
1 cup picante sauce
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
3/4 cup sour cream
1 package (3 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
Tortilla chips and salsa

Directions

In a large bowl, combine the first eight ingredients; transfer to a 1-1/2-qt. slow cooker. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours or until heated through, stirring once or twice. Serve with tortilla chips and salsa. Yield: 4-1/2 cups.

This was great! I've never been a big refried beans fan, so I cut the amount of beans in half and I thought it was delecious. A very nice change from the traditional nacho cheese dip. I'll be making this over and over again.

I love taking the crock pot dipper to parties, and this was a big hit. the left over dip was great the next day wrapped in soft tortillas and nuked a minute.

This is awesome! The first time I made it was on a Thanksgiving. It was so easy and fast to make, basically dump everything together, and it tastes amazing. My husband requests this quite often now!

This dip is great! You can leave things out if you don't have them on hand. Leftovers can go into quesadillas. My 4-year-old son asks for this often.

This recipe is amazing, just the way it is. Comes out the best when you use a "thin" salsa/hot sauce, that isn't chunky (If you're in Texas, "El Fenix" hot sauce is the best for this!) I have made this recipe probably 20 times in the last year for various events & have to give out the recipe every time. It is requested no matter where we are going. Who ever came up with it is a genius!

LOVE this dip with the way that I make it. Not as listed here. Actually, I think its rather gross with the way it is listed. I just omit the sour cream and cream cheese, and its GREAT!
