Caramel Hot Chocolate Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 cups nonfat dry milk powder
  • 3/4 cup baking cocoa
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 Caramello candy bar (2.7 ounces), chopped
  • Whipped cream and grated chocolate, optional

Directions

  • In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine the milk powder, cocoa and sugar; gradually whisk in water until smooth. Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until hot.
  • Add candy bar; stir until melted. Garnish with whipped cream and grated chocolate if desired. Yield: about 2 quarts.

Nutritional Facts 1 cup (calculated without optional ingredients) equals 296 calories, 3 g fat (1 g saturated fat), 13 mg cholesterol, 296 mg sodium, 48 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 21 g protein.
